PT Proactive & Hands-On Houseman / in Beverly Hills, California

An international couple with one small dog is seeking an experienced part-time Houseman to maintain the exterior of a newly remodeled Beverly Hills/West Hollywood Hills residence to an exceptional standard. This role will require you to commit to one day per week, with occasional flexibility to support entertaining. The ideal candidate is highly organized, self-directed, and takes pride in maintaining a luxury property with close attention to detail. This role suits someone who notices problems before they start, works independently, and holds the exterior to the presentation standard of a luxury resort.

Key Responsibilities 

• Maintain the exterior of the property to the presentation standards of a luxury resort
• Clean exterior windows and glass railings weekly to a streak-free finish
• Clean and maintain the outdoor kitchen, decking, walkways, and exterior entertaining areas
• Clean and maintain outdoor furniture, upholstery, cushions, and fire pits using appropriate products and techniques for luxury materials and finishes
• Cover and uncover outdoor furniture as requested and assist with seasonal protection and storage
• Remove cobwebs, debris, and exterior buildup to keep the property immaculate
• Manage trash, recycling, and collection schedules
• Monitor irrigation, gates, exterior lighting, and other exterior systems, promptly flagging anything requiring attention
• Meet and coordinate repair technicians and service providers as needed
• Inspect and clear exterior drains as needed
• Power wash exterior surfaces as needed
• Coordinate with the housekeeper on routine maintenance items, including light bulb replacement and minor upkeep
• Complete a bi-weekly property checklist and promptly communicate any concerns
• Assist with seasonal property maintenance, weather preparation, and recovery as needed

Qualifications

• Experience maintaining high-end private residences or luxury hospitality exteriors
• Dependable, reliable, trustworthy, and comfortable working independently
• Notices details before they become problems and takes ownership of the work
• Solution-oriented, resourceful, proactive, and exercises sound judgment
• Communicates clearly and professionally
• Comfortable coordinating with vendors, security, and the housekeeper
• Comfortable using household technology and electronic security systems, and performing basic troubleshooting
• Maintains a polished, professional appearance and is comfortable wearing a uniform while on duty
• Understands the importance of privacy and conducts themselves with discretion

Location: Beverly Hills/West Hollywood Hills, CA

Compensation: 40-50/hr (1099); minimum guarantee of 8 hours per week

Schedule: Minimum of one day per week, with occasional flexibility to support when entertaining
